Yesterday, Abztract went to our opening at the Gawker ALT/ART show at the Gawker office. On the way we decided to stop by on Houston @ Bowery to check out the new mural by street-art duo OS GEMEOS from Brazil. OS GEMEOS were tapped to paint a new colorful mural on the wall which held the famous Keith Haring tribute mural up until last week. The Keith Haring mural has been an iconic wall in the district and has been around since the early 1980's.
Now with OS Gemeos taking over the wall, it is obvious that the piece going up will be an iconic one as well. The artwork is vibrant in colors (these photos hardly do justice) and although it is still incomplete, it already is taking shape and form beyond anyone's expectation. This will truly be a piece to enjoy for anyone walking down Houston in the street-art filled New York City.
