ABZTRACT X ARTSPROJEKT X ZAZZLE

Abztract is happy to announce that we have joined Artsprojekt (part of the Zazzle family) to bring you screenprinted skateboard designs from our ABZTRACT brand. We join the small group of featured brands such as OBEY, Crooks & Castles and Jackass.

We currently have a few boards live and ready to be purchased just in time for the holidays. We will let these be up for sale only for a limited time before we swap them for new designs every so often.

Check out below the current designs and then head over to our ARTSPROJEKT page (http://www.zazzle.com/abztract) to make purchases, leave comments and check out other products by some other great brands.

The Rebirth of Deckyourself.com

Co-founder of Abztract Shai Dahan has relaunched his "Deckyourself" website where he creates custom hand painted skate decks. Shai has done skateboards for Perez Hilton, Sweet Action Ice Cream and even worked with some charities such as Life Rolls On and Stoked Mentoring.

We are excited to see him relaunch this site because while limited edition skate designs are a dime-a-dozen, custom made ones which feature your dog or even your favorite video game, is something hard to find.

Kudos for the relaunch. We look forward to the ever growing collection on that site. Also,
some of his current works featured on that site are available on our ABZTRACT SHOP, so make sure to grab one before they are gone.

We got some other stuff cooking with JMR so stay tuned and stay Abztract.

It is rare to see a company put out a commercial that actually makes us feel both nostalgic and crack a smile.
Many companies tend to try too hard to be viral or hire hip/trendy people and artists and what not to sell their products. We understand the nature of that. It's business and you want to reach a specific/certain market. But, most of the time it is not pulled off and leads to a giant FAIL within the community that you tried to connect with.

But, when we ran across this commercial, it really did make us remember the days in Venice that we would wake up to palm trees and telephone wires and grab a board and just skate the day away. Granted, now we can't enjoy those moments as much as we wish we could, but to watch this, gave us the nostalgic feeling that "Hey, that is so us back in the day" (before we became old farts who blog and watch youtube videos).

Good to see NIKE SB actually put out something that, for a change, made us leave the Youtube window open to the very end.

Enjoy:
