Eames Inspiration - Take a seat and enjoy

Billi Kid has been busy. He is going to be curating an event to auction and benefit Operation Design which helps utilize designers alike to work together with public school students on art projects. The event will feature plywood classroom chairs painted by NYC street-artists.
The event will even be featured in Barneys NY.

The roster features a great line-up including some Abztract featured artists such as Damon Ginandes, Darkcloud, Joe Iurato, URnewyork, Veng and Billi Kid himself.

WHY WE LOVE NY

Our friend Billi Kid has been taking things by storm. It is no surprise he was getting some much deserved attention from New York Magazine during a piece titled "Reasons To Love New York".
Reason # 31: Because Our Street Art Is Collaborative.

And don't forget that we still have limited edition original art and limited edition prints from Billi Kid exclusively on Abztract.com

Good work Billi Kid.

Billi Kid is On Fire

We just got a snap shot of this. Our friend (and featured artist) Billi Kid was down in Miami for Art Basel as part of the Graffiti Gone Global show. While there, he took part of an event put on by street-art pal El-Celso who asked artists to donate artwork to be torched. MOM & POPism hits the internets

Both Shai Dahan and Billi Kid who are two talented artists that are currently part of our
Featured Artist Collective, were part of the MOM & POPism show, presented by Gawker Artists and curate by Billi Kid and James and Karla Murray. You can read about it here.

Well, MOM & POPism has taken the internet by storm and has received a ton of coverage (just Google MOM & POPism to see). Ranging from blogs to Juxtapoz magazine, Upper Playground and even W Magazine.

Here is a collection of some of the press this event received. It is very nice to see two of our featured artists be involved in such a great event with some amazing other graffiti and street artists.
