It seems these days everyone is talking about the immanent removal of Philip Lumbangs mural.

This article in the press is not any less important. It brings a lot of great points about the lack of action by the city to remove super billboards.

SHAI DAHAN X YRB MAGAZINE

Shai Dahan was invited back to YRB Magazine to be featured in their art section.

This time, they asked for his interpretation of the word RAW and the relation of it to Rock & Roll.

Shai took Sid & Nancy and gave them a nice and controversial twist. We dig it.

Spice up your sex life with Abztract art?

That's a first. We love people who give us or our artists press, but this is by far something we had to share here on the blog. To be fair, co-founder Rich has tons of Shai's boards on his walls and it has done nothing for him.

YRB Magazine Summer 2009

YRB Magazine (Yellow Rat Bastard) invited Featured Artist and Co-Founder of Abztract, Shai Dahan to hand paint both sides of a skate deck for their SUMMER ISSUE. The issue featured eight artists who all hand painted amazing skate decks. The issue also has a great interview with rapper Busta Rhymes as well as an interview with Rob Dyrdek, P-Rod, TK and Ryan Sheckler. The legendary skaters speak about Rob’s feature skateboarding film Street Dreams.
